110 years ago nature's unique beautiful landscape between Bayrischzell and Oberaudorf was discovered for skiing. Today the largest connected skiing area in Germany is a modern, sporty, especially family-friendly and natural skiing area with 3 chair lifts and 18 drag lifts.
Modern "snow canons" are working on nearly all slopes. Ski and snowboard schools offer group courses and private lessons for adults and children - in the "kids-course" from 4 years old. In the children's experience area the toddlers can play and have fun. Ski and equipment rental, depots and service areas offer comprehensive service.
At the lifts and slopes there are approximately 2,500 free parking spaces, trains to Bayrischzell (from Munich every hour) connect with the free ski bus (from Bayrischzell). More information can be found under www.sudelfeld.de.
Magic carpet, children's area, short journey, cheap prices whoever is planning a skiing holiday with children has high expectations of a ski area. Skigebiete-Test.de has analysed the data from the last season and shows you the most family-friendly ski areas in Bavaria.
As for family-friendliness the Bavarian ski areas are first-class and do not need to hide behind foreign competition in the Alps. They are often the better alternative thanks to their short journey time and family-friendly prices. The ski areas really look after families and are making even more attractive offers from the children's area to package holidays for the whole family ski holiday.
In 2013 the ski paradise Sudelfeld was awarded 1st place for the most family friendly ski areas in Bavaria in the skigebiete-test.de test.
Skiresort.de also awarded the mountain restaurants, huts, and gastronomy with Excellent as well as the Best for Families & Children. Further information about the evaluations can be found here.
