Bubbling, glittering, churning, sparkling, you can find many other words which describe how the waterfalls plunge spectacularly into the depths. The water rushes over two rock ledges, drops down 95 metres and you can admire the impressive masses of water down below. The air which is moist from the frothy water often glistens in the colours of a rainbow.
In the depths itself it's dark and loud: just the right place for a legendary creature, the Tatzelwurm, which apparently lived here.
Access to the waterfalls is via a well kept path directly from the Hotel Feuriger Tatzlwurm or from the car park in the woods above. To get a view of the lower waterfall you have to negotiate a few stoney steps.
